YAC's Successes

Students from eight local high schools, three local colleges and independent study
Providing a reliable and effective program since January 2000
360 members strong, adding more monthly
95% go on to college (many with scholarships)
Participated in and created 97 art exhibits between 2000-2009
Public murals (at CHOMP, My Museum, Ordway Pharmacy, Head Start, Monterey Public Library)
Paintings, illustrations and videos commissioned by local businesses and individuals
Paid apprenticeships and part time jobs where YACsters learn art and business skills
Many YACsters accepted in InnerSPARK (CAL Arts Summer Program)

Scholarship awards from the community (Rotary Club, Kiwanis, etc.)
